First Post

Today is my first post. I just thought it would be a good idea to open up a blogspot, a place where people could keep up with what's going on with me. So...let me get everyone updated.


After 2 years of Nursing school (& 3 classes away from graduating) I "failed" out of nursing school because of testing issues. I tried multiple other schools in the state and wasn't able to get into any nursing programs. So, after much prayer, I felt as if the Lord was saying that at this time Nursing was not in His plans for me.

I am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education & recently got my acceptance letter into the Education program at North Ga. College & State Univ. I am excited about the direction the Lord is taking me, even though it is not at all what I had planned for my life. I will start in the Fall 2009 taking anywhere from 15-18 credit hours. I will do field placement within those hours. Sometime within the next 2 years (time in the program) I have to fit 12 credit hours in addition to the full time classes the program requires, because there are some core classes that I didn't have to have for Nursing that I have to take for Education! I will update soon as to what school I will be placed in.

Summer has just begun and I am currently just working (still at NEGMC. 4 years and counting & still loving it). I am trying to get into a Spanish class for the second session. And starting next week I will be watching one of my nurse friend's child one day a week.

My family & I are going on a cruise in June. My parents will be celebrating their 25th anniversary & will be renewing the vows on the ship. I am so excited about that. Last week I started Scuba Diving classes and will complete them this week with my Open Water check out dives. It is so much fun and I love the time it opens up for me to spend with my Daddy. We plan to go diving as one of our excursions in Grand Cayman.
